from 0 to 5 they are scrolled up fastly :)

from there it means your firmware is unlocked so you should not have the need to use kernel msr patch

could you try to disable it in clover bootmenu option kernel section?

and see if it boots or where it stops'

yes

it is the best we can reach by now

You cpu is well represented I think you have a 14 cores? (14/28)

hoping in a better support for app devs in new VirtualSMC kext technology

you have a different HWsensor I think

try this if you want

no need to install it

Check my attached zip file. It should be the same as yours?

I'm for the moment running APFS.

Is VboxExt2-64 and HFSPlus.efi together compatible?

Are you using HWMonitorSMC.app or SMC2.app?

I see now you archive in previous message sorry

it seems fine

maybe you can update applealc to a newer version

I do not know if this is useful or not fr you SATA-200-series-unsupported.kext

and I see you are mapping your usb with a kext (maybe you do not use any USB kext to patches?)

If so you can do it in different way:

Hi @fabiosun

I would like to learn to make my own"_xcpm_pkg_scope_msrs" patch. Do you have any knowledge or is there any guides out there?

Best regards

Another question @fabiosun

According to @apianti at insanelymac there is two ways to fix our problems.

1. with _xcpm_pkg_scope_msrs - patch

2. with bootstrap - patch, freqVectorsEdit and a SSDT/DSDT for our processor.

Wich way is the most accurate according to you?

Could you please read @apianti:s comments on our topic and give your opinion?

Of course only if you think you have time.

Hi @obushow much time.. 🙂

I am starting from your latest question:

If you remember in our tries we did a test without fakecpuid and your system went full throttling to highest no turbo frequency and no XCPM

we stopped this test but you can "restart" from there

In this condition you can try to use different Smbios and see if full throttling behavior change

Or, you can try with Imacpro1.1 smbios and inject in it frequency vector with piker alpha's script

I have read thread you say but no news there for all test I did with you

Coders/devs could produce a clover like they did in the past which patch everythings for you and you do not know anything about their patching but I do not like this way

I would like to decide always from my self which patches is useful for my rig or not (not talking about fundamental one to have a chance to boot in a Hack)

Old XCPM automatic patches introduced some time ago created so many problem in many user rigs and they (devs/coders)deleted it allowing us to choose it or not

So my advices are:

1) be sure your motherboard has MSR 0Ex2 unlocked (my new ASUS sage 10G as an option for it) and if you can unlock this fact prevents an hang in your system

2)do not thing because your Xeon is of the same Imacpro family it will work vanilla on Hackintosh (I have written something to you and yapan4 about my experience with a Mac Pro 2013 xeon I have owned in the past

3) if your system works well with fakecpuid or minimal patching..why not? default_wink_anim

have a nice day

Thank's @fabiosun

"if your system works well with fakecpuid or minimal patching..why not?"

I agree with you about that. _xcpm_pkg_scope_msrs" patch and FakeCPUID is the best option of course, but you know with this approach I can't get the turbo mode working. Maximum performance from the processor is 3500 MHz. Is there a way to get turbo mode working do you think?

If not I have to try and elaborate a little with bootstrap, freqVectors and ssdtPRGen.sh - script and different smbiose:s.

I did some testing yesterday without success. I now that @yapan4 is testing so we have to continue testing.

What about my first question. PMhart is doing a new _xcpm_pkg_scope_msrs - patch for 10.14.5 beta 2 and he told me he will make one for 10.14.5 but is there a guide or information how to do it yourself?

Ciao Obus

@PMheart is a young girl 🙂

She is present in this forum and you can try to contact her here.

To answer on How to find by yourself..

All this research are done in near past by pikeraplha.

In his Wordpress blog you can find the way to discover new patches..it is no simple...

I already have a sms conversation with her. Though I didn't now that "he" was a She. But I donated 10 dollars and then I saw the name Angel Wu and of course I should have realised it was a name on a girl. emoticon_festa

Yea I've read your and Piker's earlier discussions so I have to dig in to it and se if I can learn something new.

I will keep you upgraded. emoticon_thanks
