Waves 13 Complete AMD fix

Recommended Posts

Just replace libmkl_waves.dylib in /Library/Application\ Support/Waves/Modules/MklWaves.framework/Versions/A/libmkl_waves.dylib

Recodesign it:

sudo codesign --force --deep --sign - /Library/Application\ Support/Waves/Modules/MklWaves.framework/Versions/A/libmkl_waves.dylib

If you mix them with v12 or inferior versions plugins you'll need further patches.

For the latest Waves 13 release this is the working method: install https://github.com/NyaomiDEV/AMDFriend

Then execute this code in terminal:

sudo amdfriend --in-place --sign --directories /Library/Application\ Support/Waves

Give your password, rescan the failing plugins and you're done!

Thanks for @Nyaomi for the really powerful script, all the info here:

I've done the functionality test directly in Logic / Mainstage to re-enable the failed plugins after the patch

Hello, How did  you get the "libmkl_waves.dylib" file.

As a newbie, i haven't clearly understand how AMDfriend works.

I have followed all the instructions and installed homebrew & yarn

But the thing i don't clearly understand is how to find the path files/folder for the different apps and patch them securely. i don't want to brake anything on my Ryzentosh.

I see the different command line, but i am a bit frel.

I have installed Premiere Pro, After E, just following this tread, but i would like to be more accurate about what i am doing. This apps  asked several time my password before lauching them, even i choose "always allow".

Last thing i have installed a cracked version of Nuendo 12 ( i have a legit licence) but because i haven't the Spectralyers one i have to choose this option. And even i code sign them i have to have to disable SIP to make them run.

Thanks again for this amazing you all are doing.
