Unable to boot Clover 5142 after update of BIOS in Ryzen 1700X Hackintoshs

Before BIOS update I can boot Clover 5141 and OpenCore 0.7.5/0.7.6 successfully without any issue.

However after BIOS update I can boot OC only, if booted by Clover 5142 it always got reboot after ++++++++++++++.

I have tried to downgrade of BIOS or Clover all in vain.

Can anyone check my Clover's config.plist or EFI.zip and give me some help ?

config.plist.zip

EFI.zip

could you post a debug log?

activate it in boot section of your config and post it

you can find it in your clover/Misc folder

thank you

Ok I think problem is OSX 12.1

have you tried to boot with 12.01?

in my case with clover I need to reset Nvram a couple of time to have success booting in 12.1

12.01 is fine

if you can try to reset nvram

from your log patches are loaded as it should be

I think Clover dev have to implement better latest OpenCore features

I can not boot any MacOS from 10.13.6 to 12.1 with Clover 5142 now even after repeated reset Nvram ! Any other possibility for this issue ?

try always to reset Nvram, overall if you use sometime also openCore

Clover 5142 is problematic also here

but sometimes works (after resetting Nvram)

try to download my EFI from my TRX40 OP and use only driver EFi and bootX64.efi , cloverX64.EFi and main kexts I use

however with 5142 dock animations have a double speed

Wifi/bt card disconnect often

GPU performances are horrible

I am not using Clover because it is unuseful also to open an ISSUE in their GitHub

for them all is working always and problem is only due users errors 🙂

I use Clover only to test something..but latest version is a pain

see here:

Clover 5142:

Thanks and I'll test your EFI in my Ryzen 1700X hackintoshs.

not all my EFI

it is for a 32 cores set 🙂

take only part of it like drivers and boot folder /clover64.efi

Yes, I know.

Unfortunately I got the same problem as my original EFI.

Unable to boot any MacOS from 10.13.6 to 12.1 by Clover 5142 or 5141 now !

sorry @jsl2000

last thing could be to try to reset your motherboard Cmos

but I have no good idea

I can say Clover 5142 has many problems

with clover 5141 it is mandatory to disable Resize bar in bios settings

Thanks, but I can not find the option for Resize bar in my MB's BIOS settings.

Is it present in more modern MB for Intel 9th/10th generation & AMD TRX40 MB ?

In my Z490 hackintoshs it's located in Advanced> PCI Subsystem

Mine is ASUS Crosshair VI Hero which was produced in 2018.

I can disable ResizeAppleGpuBars in Booter & ResizeGpuBars in UEFI with Clover 5141.

@jsl2000

If I have understood well your problem

You have had a working system (1700x CPU) working both with Clover 5141 and Opencore 0.7.x

Then, you have updated your motherboard bios

Set back all options in it in the same way you had before

Now no boot loaders work for you

If so, for you is not a boot loader problem (5142 has many problems but it is unrelated ,I think, for your actual problem)

I will double check bios option and I will reset Cmos and then I would try again with my latest working EFI with a previously checked and working OS (not latest beta)

No, after update BIOS only OpenCore 0.7.6 or 0.7.5 still working perfectly, but failed of Clover 5141 or 5142. For clover 5141 It can past ++++++, then frozen after something. So I guess I need modify something in Clover's config.plist.
