do you mean you have yet installed it or you see many verbose errors?

It could be a very long process to install this beta ..many verbose errors

I see also many patches our chipset does not need ..(ie Fix Pat related ones)

this is After installing 11.3 beta 2 update,

and even boot from recovery environments not possible boot stuck.

how long does it takes I waited 6 hours.

@ddk

try this EFi and see if you have the same problem...

or different one

EFI.zip

sometimes some quirks could create problem..but not usb related for now...memory map related one..

let me know

first you must be sure you have installed it well

because also in real MC installation was problematic in beta 2 (d version)

change in this EFI only mmio part..insert yours

@ddk

sorry but Are you trying with rx 6900 xt only inserted?

if so it seems no support for this in latest beta ()no support at all , before in vesa it was working)

I saw also @valmeida has a similar problem with latest beta if i am not wrong at all..

i cant test because i have sold my reference 6900xt)

if you are using only Big Sur you can try also to simplify your huge used patches ...

you can try this reduced set I am using for BigSur 11.2.1 and latest 11.3 beta 2

reduced patches (BS Only).plist.zip 2.22 kB · 2 downloads

Thanks but I with reduced patches Kernel Panic on both 11.2.1 and 11.3 beta 2

don't you think this is weird?

if you want

try to use these set of patches 🙂

if it works also for you..check then stability in your usual daily workflow!

the one of @Arrakis's works for me on 11.2.1 and a bit faster , I didn't test on 11.3 ignoring for now.

I will test the one you sent me and let you know how it goes.

Tomorrow I will receive "Sonnet eGPU Breakaway Puck Radeon RX 5700"

Is there any special setup in opencore except for bootArguments agdpmod=pikera and disabling Internal GPU RX 6900 XT ?

Is the EGPU may solve my booting problem on 11.3 beta ?
