Hi there and thanks for your reply !

Yes of course, we tested everything, and the only way to put all cores to 100% is in Geekbench...

In Resolve, even with a big 4K session, all cores are at max 35%.

Don't know why, I've read that it's about TSC Sync but I don't know how to proceed.

I will go ahead and restart from scratch the computer, install Mojave, and we will see.

@gprime[/mention]

about TSC Synch

Have you a proper kext in your Efi/other folder

proper means a value of Number of cores/threads less 1

in my case 36-1=35

post your EFI if you want

I am on 10.13.6 because lack of support in Mojave for my Titan gfx

7960x is a 16 + 16 cores/threads Cpu so you have to put inside TSC a value of 31

32-1=31

attached a kext properly configured for your CPU

I do not think this will solve your CPU problem in all cores load..but you can try :)

Hi

I do not know if a patch for USB port limit exists in Mojave

In my case I do not use any patches because I have remapped my USB as you can find in this guide

All USB are working fine (USB 2/3)

I have created a SSDT for it and with this no portlimit patches is needed

By now I am working on a big project on Windows so I cant share for now any EFI

but it is very simple no strangeness on it

I will put it as soon I can

for USB problem, if you have High Sierra you can use this tutorial to have all working and used USB also inside Mojave (SSDT is independent)

I have also Mojave installed and my SSDT is working the same there

High Sierra is useful to patch your actual USB situation because on it USB port limit patch is working (in Mojave I think no)

Once upon a time you have mapped USB in HS , your SSDT will work also in Mojave..and maybe also if you change your bios (if USB config in it does not change)

(noDSDT but SSDT)

I am not using mojave because the lack of Nvidia web driver ..but usb is fine

OK will try, because we have the exact same motherboard expect that i'm on F1 Bios (I can update of course but last time I've try, the machine refuse to boot OSX).

The only difference is that I have a 7960 when you have a 7980.

I test and I let you know, thanks again.

when you update bios you have to put back the same options you have had with previous one (overall in USB settings and in boot priority settings) and all will be ok as before

Also CSM could be a problem for you with your AMD GFX, with GTX you shouldn't have any problem to boot in each bios gigabyte did for our board

I am usin f4c bios but also with latest F4i my ssdt is working

I've solved my USB issue with a boot argument : uia_exclude=HS04;HS06;HS09;HS10;HS11;HS12;HS13;HS14;SS01;SS02;SS03;SS04

As I have no Front USB in my case, I keep only the 4 ports USB2/3 rear + the 2 USB ports for mouse/keyboard.

Seems to works... I will test an USB-C drive tomorrow.

Now I have to figure out the Vega64 fan issue and at least try to have 50.000 in geekbench with my CPU. Actually I have 48.000...

Thanks for your help and of course if you want to post your EFI, I will be happy to give you mine too :-)

Regards
