i have updated from Catalina using this:

it downloads a beta 6 full installer

now I am downloading from there beta 8

interesting thing is I have unlocked my Catalina system volume to read/write and beta 6 as maintained this status

in this way I have also unlocked again web drivers previously used in Catalina

@meina222i see your memory are set correctly to 3200

i see 1600 in my rig

did you do something for this?

No, just a manual frequency profile in BIOS. I set it at 3200 (and infinity fabric at 1600) manually and do not use XMP1 profile. But even with XMP1, MacOS sees it as 3600, so perhaps it's not that.

@Jaidy .. you always fall for it! 🙂

only the possibility of having all the ports of the graphics card working and with the possibility of setting the correct resolutions for the monitors

no video acceleration

no cuda 🙂

Judging by the price rumors ($499) is probably falling short a bit of the 3080. That said, this is a very good price if you can actually get it and beat the 2080ti. I'll be happy if the card is even available to buy. Radeon Pro VII turned out to be vaporware (announced in May, still nowhere to be found).

Well I'm pretty happy with the 3970x performance, if the next Video card matches that I will definitely get one.

Is anyone here tried who has Asrock trx40 board here, if the asrock thunderbolt 3 aic r2.0 will work with it under Catalina?

On the site these boards are not supported, but I have Thunderbolt enable menu in my bios?

Not yet but I'm interested in this as well.

I spoke to Asrock weeks ago, there is no chance of Thunderbolt support on this board. This was there response:

Hello,

Our TRX40 models have no header for a Thunderbolt add-in card. No way to add Thunderbolt support to these boards, sorry.

Kind regards,
