with fixed EFI with new patches I mean, you have to download again updater installer.

For many it becomes unusable if used to update with old patches

@Jaidywhich OSX work with that EFI?

Oh I see. Thanks so much, and it’s for 13.2.1 (and all previous ones that I’ve installed so far after getting onto TRX40 platform 🙂 )

@Jaidytry to boot with this and then try to update

I have added a kext for i211 ethernet (idk if your ethernet is a i211 as you said)

with this you should be able to update also in latest 13.4 b1

if it fails

try to reset Nvram and download again the update

Thank you very much. I am downloading the update again as we speak. Hopefully this shall go through.

I just checked on Gigabyte's website, the ethernets are Intel's X550-AT2

wow that was a roller coaster ride to update to 13.3. I used the patches @fabiosun posted. It got the installation going, till it got into a restart loop. After that I used the EFI @fabiosun posted which finished the installation. When I tried booting, it won't boot, so I switched back to my own EFI to finish installation and booting. Phew! Thanks a lot @fabiosun

@Jaidywhen you have some spare time try to understand why this happens 🙂

do Ethernet , WIFI,Bt work well?

would definitely try exploring why did it happen.

I do not have a wired connection, so I don't know if the Ethernet works.  WiFi works just fine, and bluetooth the one built on-board does not work, but I use a dongle, which works.

Just updated to OpenCore 0.9.0 and installed latest AMD kernel patches from GitHub. Update to 13.3 from 13.2.1 was flawless. All seems to be working fine, including BT / WIFI / Aquantia

macOS Ventura 13.3.1 also running fine

I have tried to update my system to 13.3.1 from 13.3. I am downloading the "small" update 584.7MB, and it is not reverting to the "big" update, which then leads to finishing update. Can you please tell me how did you update it? I thought I patched the RestrictedEvents kext to fix it, but clearly I have not.

My Ryzen hackintosh can boot smoothly up to Ventura 13.1 only, can you share your EFI or config.plist of OC or Clover for me to debug ?

My config.plist of OC 0.9.2 was attached here for your reference.

@jsl2000happy for this

if you don't have a MSI board (x570 or lower) or an AM5 CPU you can avoid to use patches 16 and 17

Thanks for your advice and I have edited it as posted here (config.plist).

By the way have you successfully booted Ventura >= 13.3  with Clover 514x or 5151 ?

Because even I have converted new kernel patch my Ryzen hackintosh still only boot up to 13.2.1.

Can you check it (config-clover-5147) for me ?

@jsl2000your config seems to be fine, I have no experience in latest OS with clover because I have opened a couple of issue on github because on AM5 it is not working well and also because it misses of Aquantia support

No one answered so it is not ideal to use an old unsupported boot loader in new platforms as AM5

Thanks for your prompt reply which is what I expect.

Maybe there's some bug in Clover otherwise there's no reason why it can not boot at Ventura 13.3 or higher with correct kernel patch in AMD hackintoshs ! No such an issue in my Intel hackintoshs.

Great news for AMD hackintoshs:

Clover 5151 can boot my Ryzen 1700X hackintosh at Ventura 13.5 now !

Clover's config.plist is posted here too.
