@jsl20001700x boots and fx doesn’t?

@iGPUcould you post your config without platform info?

Both Ryzen 1700X and FX-6300 all boots with KP as posted photos.

Config-OC for Ryzen 1700X was attached here.

Because lack of AVX2 in machdep.cpu.leaf7_features in FX-6300, I don't think it can boot or install Ventura.

@jsl2000Your ryzen 1700 boots in Monterey with AvoidRuntimeDefrag set to NO?

if it doesn't boot you will have a problem also with Ventura

My Ryzen boots Monterey with AvoidRuntimeDefrag set to Yes.

But it can not boot Ventura with AvoidRuntimeDefrag set to Yes.

So I change it to No, but got KP during booting.

My Z370 hackintosh had the same issue to boot Ventura.

@jsl2000I was saying if your Monterey Works the same if you put that quirk on NO/false

if not it will be probably the same in ventura OS because your system needs some Nvram functionality to boot

Do you mean if my Monterey can not boot with that quirk on No, I can not boot Ventura either ?

if MR doesn't boot with quirk OFF probably you can't use today Ventura also on z390 and similar

One exception is my Z490 hackintosh which can not boot with this quirk OFF by OpenCore, but it can boot with this quirk OFF by Clover.

Using the new OC 0.8.2 my Z490, Z370, B85M & Ryzen 1700X hackintoshs can boot Ventura successfully now, but Firefox, Google Chrome, & Safari all got open/immediate-quit in B85M.

And poor display function of RX-580 in Ryzen 1700X too. Need figure out how to fix these issues ASAP.

[Edit]

Both Ryzen 1700X and B85M hackintoshs were fixed by modify config.plist in which related to networking adaptor such as AppleIGB.kext, USB WiFi etc.

Added in OP MSI TRX40 Pro 10G OC_082-2022-06-11

useful to boot Monterey 12.xx and macOS Ventura 13 beta 1

Inside you can find a beta version of lilu and virtualSMC kexts to boot without -lilubetaall bootarg

It is possible to use AvoidRuntimeDefrag quirk ON, so if your system supports sleep/wake it will work well as before

latest lilu 1.61 solves Unknown problem on name of our lovely CPU

@Arrakis

intel outside 🙂

Strange, but despite using latest RestrictEvents and Lilu (and re-setting NVRAM), my processor still shows up as Unknown (works okay in Big Sur).

So I ended buying another Ethernet card to try to get Monterey working but I'm sticking out . Fenvi T919  wifi & bluetooth works amazing on BIGSUR but I can only get bluetooth working  on Monterey no wifi. It sees it on PCIE list on Monterey but it won load in Monterey 😞

@ArrakisI have flashed an old firmware by Elias (I think) on our thunderbolt thread if I remeber well there is version I used

@Ploddleswindows problem seems to be a MSI trx40 problem

but their support does not answer

I have never installed windows here from scratch (I have had an old x299 installation on my Samsung 960 pro and I always updated from it

trying to install here also on a "simple" SSD is a pain

I don't know how it is possible...OSX is more simple to install here 🙂

PS welcome back

this is on Thunderbolt case

it is always seen as apple SSD and not generic one

@fabiosun

I did a test with your efi for thunderbold connection.

here

I have two Pegasus R6 Promise thunderbold storages and a Blackmagic UltraStudio 4K Mini interface.

No information in PCI ports like you.

In the Thunderbolt tab when nothing is plugged in, the connectivity is 2 x 20 G/bs and not 1 x 40 G/bs as in your configuration.

For me it does not work natively without SSDT

@Arrakisi have tested only a nvme disk

nothing more

the interesting thing is that on a not supported motherboard for thunderbolt I can start with opencore and see windows disk on my desktop

then I reboot my system

press f11 to see boot disk from bios

and in this way I see windows disk and I can boot from it

if I do a cold start

press f11

i can’t see nvme disk connected to boot with it in windows

all this to say that your test is more accurate than mine👍

Thanks for your hope: I got it to work. using the latest kexts and OC commits, and by setting Platforminfo/Generic/ProcessorType to 0. Your config file showed me the main difference of the ProcessorType value. I had been using 3841.

Before this fix, the same error was occurring in the latest Big Sur update 11.6.7. (So whatever changes were in Ventura causing this broken RestrictEvents issue, were also added to 11.6.7.)

I also was able to inject my specific verbiage using these arguments:

@valmeidathat WIFI/BT card does not need of any kext to add and your EFI seems fine

I would disable internal WIFI/BT and ethernet of your Asus (only to try) and before booting I would clean also NVRAM

I tried that now good.
