Script che scarica BaseSystem.dmg regolarmente dal catalogo Apple e una volta terminato crea una ISO.

Utile per VM

 

E' stato creato su richiesta e quindi per aiutare @fabiosun

 

Attualmente supporta

 

  1. Catalina
  2. Mojave
  3. High Sierra

 

In ultima Release disponibile.

 

This script allows us to download from Apple catalog BaseSystem.dmg file, when this task is complete it create an ISO.

Creation was done to simplify a process to download and install macOS on a VM created with Proxmox VE

With 1.03 release is also possible to pass some terminal command to create a full installer iso if you have previously downloaded one from Apple Store or to download it directly (useful for a fast installation)

It is also possible to download latest OSX (Big Sur) and a proper EFI to upload in Proxmox and to use to boot in all OSX system available

Aggiunto supporto per scaricare l'installer completo, regolarmente, da catalogo Apple

Le versioni supportate in ultima release disponibile sono:

  1. Catalina
  2. Mojave
  3. HighSierra
  4. Sierra
  5. El Capitan
  6. Yosemite

 

Possibilità al termine del download di convertire direttamente l'installer in ISO fatto esclusione di: Sierra, El Capitan e Yosemite.

Nota: Sierra,El Capitan e Yosemite, per questi tre troverete una dmg, una volta aperta troverete un pkg al suo interno, eseguitelo e al termine troverete l'installer in Applicazioni.

 

Uso:

Catalina: ./VM_Assistant -dcata

Mojave: ./VM_Assistant -dmoja

HighSierra:  ./VM_Assistant -dhs

Sierra ./VM_Assistant -dsr

El Capitan: ./VM_Assistant -dec

Yosemite: ./VM_Assistant -dyo

 

Aggiunto Clover_5114.iso e Opencore_057.iso

Uso:

Opencore: ./VM_Assistant -doc

Clover:  ./VM_Assistant -dc

 

Comandi specifici possono essere visualizzati nel menù help.

I tried the app and it is very strange that it can make make a Mohave image no problem but not a Catalina.

Are you using -dcata terminal app option?

Confirmed, @Gengik84 will correct this problem as soon as he can

Thank You!  You guys are awesome!   I used good old fashion dd to make the fake iso.  However, I am still very curious about using @Gengik84’s tool when it is fixed!

I have already worked on this but I don't have much time in this period...sorry
I will  try again to see if everything is solved.
maybe today I could do further tests

hey guys, seems like download link is not available for me, it says " Sorry, you aren't permitted to download this file." 
is there anything i must do first?

 

never mind, turns out you need to post something on forum first, kinda weird

Hello. It gave me this error when trying to launch it (python VM_Assistant) :

 

 

SyntaxError: Non-ASCII character '\xcf' in file ./VM_Assistant on line 1, but no encoding declared; see http://python.org/dev/peps/pep-0263/ for details

yep, it's for macOS

i never tried on linux...but if you want..you can try...

I have tried "./VM_Assistant -dbs" and I got this error :

 

./VM_Assistant: cannot execute binary file: Exec format error
